My mother and grandparents came from Cuba, which makes me half Cuban. I take pride in my Cuban culture and I believe it makes me very unique. I learn a lot from my grandma, who I call Aba. She lives in Miami and we keep in touch a lot through the phone. Anytime we talk she gives me a Spanish lesson. I use my culture as a way to make me want to learn more Spanish in school. I'm very glad i have Cuban in my culture and I'm proud.
